This is subject to change after break due to coordination with the school on some dates.

Please Note:  Due to the smaller cast size and limited ensembles, this production is only open to Wicklund students in 4th grade and up.  There will be a very limited number of roles for younger students and, as a result, auditions for these parts will be by invitation only and based on past performances and teacher recommendation.

Auditions:  January 6th through 10th

Audition sign-ups are now open!  Below are the steps for registering and next steps.

  1. If you are in 4th-8th Grade or are younger and have been invited to audition, register for ONE Group Audition session HERE.  At the same time, decide if you will be participating in Role-Specific Auditions for a featured role.  More information can be found in the Informational Meeting Packet HERE.  If you are not interested in a featured role, you do not need to sign up for this second audition -- we will only consider you for an ensemble or one of the smallest roles.
    • If you are in TK-3rd Grade, you may not register unless you've been invited to do so.  For more information, please refer to the Informational Meeting Packet, which you can download HERE.
  2. Submit your headshot and provide some additional information that we need in order to make auditions and casting run smoothly HERE.  This form is due no later than January 5th.
  3. Prepare for your auditions.  Everyone must learn the song and choreography for the Group Auditions.  Those participating in Role-Specific Auditions must also learn lines and another song for that role.  All materials you need can be found below.

Audition Prep Material:  Group Auditions

Everyone wishing to be in this production must participate in one Group Audition session.  To prepare for that audition, you must learn the song and choreography below.  It is expected that you have the song memorized prior to the audition.

Audition Prep Material:  Role-Specific Auditions

These are the only specific roles we are doing auditions for.  If you are interested in a role that isn't listed here and it's something other than an ensemble part, we encourage you to pick a role that is similar to the one you want and go for it!  You have the opportunity on the Matilda the Musical Jr. Headshots & Additional Information form to share your hopes and dreams and concerns.  If you do not want any of the featured roles, you do not have to participate in Role-Specific Auditions.  You will only be considered for an ensemble part or one of the smallest roles.

Below are lines for each part and a song to prepare.  Sheet music and audio tracks, both with and without lyrics, have also been provided.  It is expected that you have the lines and song memorized and can sing the song without sheet music and to the performance track, without lyrics.
